Training Robb's Farm is accepting horses for breaking and training we offer training , show coaching for students and handling of in hand and performance showing client horses, and boarding for show horses. With two assistant riders Kathleen K. and Carloz Valades Jr. For over 30 years, Kathleen Robb has been actively showing breeding and training, sport horses. Sport horses of all disciplines dressage, hunter, jumping, eventing, & western pleasure horses ,sport horses in hand. Her students have been winner from local levels to national level show circuits. Also Robb's Farm horses have been shown/ produced & professionally trained by some of the country's Olympic caliber trainers. Kathleen through these horses also has trained with many of the countries best trainers as an working student and through clinics. Kathleen has bred, raised and shown many of her own horses to wins on several circuits. Active with several breeds & riding disciplines, has given Kathleen a broad background with opportunities to gain knowledge from many Equine educational sources. She combines her knowledge of Classical Dressage with a keen sense of bio-mechanics/ equine physics, sports medicine and natural/ resistance-free horsemanship to bring a blend which creates a whole horse and rider approach to her training. As well as 17 years of teaching and training others and their horses.Kathleen started her formal introduction to teaching riding from the original USDF instructor seminars held at Violet Hopkins Farm Tristan Oaks, in Michigan during the mid 1980's . Her affiliations with several large Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, Eventing, AQHA, Standardbred(driving) and T.B. Racing ,training/ show barns/breeders over the years has also has provided many opportunities to learn a gain knowledge in all aspects of the sport horse industry. Combined with a love to teach and sincere willingness pass on and share that knowledge, is what makes our program work. The last photo's show youth students on 3 day feild trip to the 2004 MSU Horseman's Association Centered Riding Clinic with Peggy Brown and Susan Harris Teaching and also presenting their Visible Horse and Rider program. This year 2005 Kathleen and the student group attended the MSU 3 Day Lynn Palms Clinic! Fun was had by all! The constant continuation of the learning process is on going for Kathleen and below is a partial list of some of the unique opportunities Kathleen has been a part of.
Show Barn Please see our Fee Information page to see prices for boarding lessons and training options at our farm. We currently have several very nice top show horses for show season leases and available for lessons for you to learn on! We give Lessons hourly on Tuesday and Thursdays and on some Saturday mornings. We travel to local and rated shows with students , we also try and attend learn experiences such as clinics.
